角色使用方向键控制移动，右侧跳跃键进行跳跃和攀爬，猫爪键拾取物品和使用相关生物技能。游戏目标为通过控制初始的团子，灵活运用新获得的生物的技能，避开陷阱、拾取所有宝箱，通关游戏。触碰到陷阱即游戏失败。
本作设计了猫、鸟、鱼、猴、鼠等六种生物的拟态，展现了不同生物丰富多彩的生存技能。通过不同技能的组合运用，解决游戏中的复杂地形谜题，玩家获得宝箱满足成就感。进一步，能够引发玩家对生物多样性的兴趣，促使玩家自主探寻“自然界中生物的独特生存技能”，感受大自然中多姿多彩的生物的魅力，加强公众保护环境的意识。
